On the morning of July 2, 2026, at 6:50 local time, the last joint of the offshore pipeline project was successfully completed. The welding scope undertaken by Deping Technology for this project has now been successfully concluded. The project involved an 80-kilometer-long pipeline with a diameter of 28 inches and a wall thickness of 19.1 mm. Deping completed a total of 6,529 welds, with only 15 repairs required. This resulted in a repair rate as low as 0.23% and a one-time-pass qualification rate of 99.77%. Through efficient operations and resilience against challenging weather conditions, the company successfully completed the pipeline installation task while maintaining both quality and schedule.

As the welding service provider for the project, Deping deployed a full set of its self-developed equipment, including pipeline Automatic Welding Machines, Beveling Machines, Internal Line-up Clamps, and Demagnetizers. These complete sets of equipment operated continuously and stably under the complex off-shore conditions, providing strong technical support for the project’s long-term, high-intensity construction.

Braving Challenges and Defying Wind and Waves

Starting from May each year, the coastal project area enters the monsoon season. From June to July, frequent rainfall and harsh sea conditions—with strong winds and high waves—posed severe challenges to offshore operations. Facing the complex marine environment during the monsoon period, Deping project team rose to the challenge. They scientifically organized construction, optimized workflows, and fully leveraged the high efficiency of their self-developed equipment.

Thanks to well schedule management and excellent welding quality, the team overcame numerous difficulties caused by the adverse sea conditions, ensured continuous and stable welding operations, and secured valuable time for subsequent pipeline installation. The entire welding scope was successfully completed in early July, achieving both quality and production targets, effectively reducing offshore operational risks, and providing critical assurance for the project’s on-time delivery.

Throughout the construction period, Deping team maintained close collaboration with partners and the client, earning trust from all parties through high professionalism and strong execution. Upon project completion, the partner not only issued a Project Performance Certificate fully recognizing Deping’s outstanding performance but also awarded a 10,000-Hour Safe Construction Certificate, highly commending the team’s safety achievements throughout the project.

The successful implementation of this overseas offshore pipeline project has once again validated the reliability and competitiveness of Deping self-developed automatic welding equipment in offshore project.
